The National Trust owns the adjoining land, which provides a wonderful expanse for walking and horse riding. The local village of Mickleham is a mere quarter of a mile away and has a local shop and a public house. Sporting activities in the area include hunting with the Surrey Union, racing at Goodwood, Ascot, Sandown and Epsom. Polo at Cowdray Park and golf at Walton Heath, Tyrells Wood, Fernfell Golf & Country Club and the West Surrey Golf Course at Enton.

Directions

From London take J9 of the M25 and proceed along the A24 towards Dorking. After the fourth roundabout the road becomes a dual carriageway and after approximately 1.5 miles turn left into the Old London Road (the B2099 – signposted to Mickleham). Continue along this road passing Box Hill School on the right hand side and the Running Horses pub. After about 0.7 miles the road bends to the right, and the electric wrought iron entrance gates to Fredley Manor will be seen on the right hand side.
