Tenuta Poggitazzi is a property located in the heart of Chianti Valdarno, known for its inestimable cultural and landscape value and immersed in a natural oasis among the suggestive Tuscan hills. Estate's history

The name of the property comes from a contamination of the name "Poggio dei Pazzi" with reference to the Valdarnese branch of the historic Florentine family. The estate is mentioned in Dante’s Divina Commedia, in the XII and XIII songs, which refer to Camiciotto and Raniero dei Pazzi del Valdarno from which derives the name Poggio dei Pazzi. The current coat of arms of the estate belongs to the Libri family, an ancient family of Florentine notaries, who left an indelible mark on the history of the property and took possession of the estate in the early 1300s, after the Battle of Campaldino.
