Description

The construction is of traditional style, brick elevations with some timber framing sit under a clay tiled roof. All of the principal bedrooms enjoy fabulous views of the garden, in particular the master bedroom suite and bedroom two which also has dual aspect. The Kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, playroom and living room all open out onto expanses of south facing terrace. The cellar is accessed off the main hallway and is currently used for wine storage. An attractive lime stone floor is laid throughout the kitchen into the pantry and the cloakroom. Period features such as exposed beams and original brick surround fireplaces are prevalent in many of the principal rooms, most notably in the main reception room which has a large fireplace with a wood burning stove. Two of the bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with attractive exposed brick work and timber framing. The large kitchen has a white, oil fired four oven aga and an additional 4 ring electric hob. A breakfast area is currently used for informal seating and this flows into the large dining room that benefits from double doors to the garden.

Outside

The property is approached from the road via electric wooden gates into a large, open parking area of gravel with a path up to the entrance of the house. There is a large garage with a double car port that has a multi purpose room above (currently used as a gym) that benefits from a modern shower room. The south facing gardens are split into several main areas, there are two large paddocks to the south east of the house with a stable building that has electricity and water. To the far south there is an area of woodland that has a small, fenced-off pond. An area of orchard is to the south west, flanked by mature hedges and trees. The main area of formal lawn directly behind the house is on two levels, the lower of these contains the heated swimming pool with an electrically operated cover. Recently much of the garden has had feature lighting installed highlighting some of the more significant trees and illuminating the garden at night. The entire perimeter of the six acres of grounds is enclosed by a recently constructed, six foot high deer fence.
