Ideally situated in a semi-rural location at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, on the boundary of the Chequers estate, the country home of The Prime Minister, yet conveniently located between the thriving market towns of Princes Risborough and Wendover. Both towns provide excellent shopping, recreational and leisure facilities with mainline train services to London Marylebone providing a fast and frequent service. In addition there is a railway station in Little Kimble, about a mile away, with trains to London Marylebone and Aylesbury. The M40 motorway gives easy access to London and the M25 and M4 motorways.

The area is surrounded by superb countryside with footpaths, bridle paths and areas of historical interest alongside the nearby Ridgway national trail, stretching for 87 miles over the Chilterns and North Wessex Downs. For golf enthusiasts there are two renowned clubs in the vicinity, Whiteleaf and Ellesborough. Local events include the Kophill Club, a classic car race and the Kimble Point to Point.

Buckinghamshire is renowned for its choice and standard of schooling, both state and private, as the county is one of the last to maintain the traditional grammar school system with schools in both High Wycombe and Aylesbury. There are well regarded local primary schools in Great Kimble and Monks Risborough.
