Valast Hill House is situated on the edge of the hamlet of St Twynnells, about 4 miles from the historic castle town of Pembroke. It lies within the famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is within easy reach of miles of coastal footpaths and stunning beaches including Freshwater East, Barafundle Bay, Broad Haven South and Freshwater West. Carmarthen and the A48 M4 link road is about 34 miles away providing quick access to the rest of South Wales, (Swansea about 61 miles and Cardiff about 104 miles) the Severn Bridge and beyond.

Description

Valast Hill House is a handsome traditional house thought to date from the 17th century with alterations over the centuries. It is believed that the house once had a large chimney stack at the rear (locally called a Flemish chimney) with large bread ovens. It was once a yeoman's farm in the parish of St Twynnells. Later at the end of the eighteenth century it became part of the local Stackpole Estate. Over the years the current owner has sympathetically renovated the property (e.g. re-roofing and converting part of the ground floor to provide an annexe. Over the access lane is a block of pastureland and stable block with yard that offer the perfect place to keep horses/ponies or other animals etc. With its pretty established grounds and gardens, the property extends to about 4.1 acres (stms – subject to measured survey). All in all, the property offers an attractive home for a family or extended family, those that wish to have an income and space to keep animals or to enjoy for amenity use.

Accommodation Ground Floor
A welcoming stone porch leads into the large living room with double aspect over the gardens and a large wood burning stove set in an impressive fireplace providing a warm focal point. Adjoining the main house is a self-contained annexe ('The Little Dairy') that has been used for family in the past. It has its own entrance from outside that leads into a living room. A door leads off to the kitchen. Off the living room is the bedroom together with an en suite shower room.

Externally
The property enjoys pretty landscaped grounds and gardens featuring mature trees, hedges, bushes, shrubs, flower borders and lawned areas. Across the access lane is a yard with garage, a stable block with loose boxes and tack room/feed stores that the current owners has used to house her two horses. There is room on the yard for a horse box, trailers, vehicles etc. Beyond the yard are two pasture fields that offer grazing and space for horses, ponies and other animals.
