Location

Ewelme is a pretty Oxfordshire village nestled at the foot of The Chilterns, an AONB.

The village's notable features are Ewelme Parish Church, an exquisite medieval church dating back to the 15th century and Ewelme Church of England Primary School, which has been operating for over 600 years housed in a picturesque building. There is a village store and coffee shop and popular pub, The Shepherd's Hut. The pond, in the centre of the village, is the source of Ewelme Brook, which fed the once famous watercress beds, now a managed nature reserve.

Surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque countryside, Ewelme offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and leisurely walks. The village is situated along the Chiltern Way, a popular long-distance footpath that meanders through stunning landscapes, including woodlands, fields, and rivers. National road and rail links are easily and swiftly accessed via the M40 and Cholsey and Didcot stations.

Nearby Wallingford is ideal for everyday shopping requirements with its market, supermarket and many independent shops. Cultural interests are well served by Dorchester-on-Thames with its ancient Abbey and historic Oxford.

Directions

Leave Henley-on-Thames, proceed up The Fairmile (A4130) towards Wallingford, passing through Nettlebed. After approximately 3 miles turn right into the Old London Road, signposted Ewelme.

Follow the signs to the village and at the bottom of the hill,
bear round to the left. Take the first right into Burrows Hill and the property will be found on the right.
