Several hard tennis courts and a bowling green are also available within the village. Elie Sports Club offers group and individual coaching in golf and tennis during school holidays. Elie is well served by pubs and cafés which include the renowned Ship Inn.    Elie is in the East Neuk of Fife, famed for its picturesque fishing villages and unspoilt beaches.   St Andrews, the home of golf and the setting for one of Britain's oldest universities, is only 13 miles away. There are traditional links golf courses at nearby Crail, Leven and Lundin Links and new courses at Kingsbarns and St Andrews Bay. Edinburgh is around 45 miles away accessed by road, or from the nearest train station at Leuchars which is 16 miles to the north of Elie. The proposed Levenmouth rail link at Leven is due to open in 2024.

6 Coastguard Cottages is a beautifully presented upper apartment of an end-terraced Victorian villa. The property sits at the end of a row of traditional terraced cottages, dating back to the late 1800s, and has been fully upgraded, having been re-plumbed, re-wired and with new double glazed windows installed in 2021/22. The property sits a short walk from The Ship Inn (less than 200 metres) and Elie Beach. It benefits from lovely outlooks over the neighbouring farmland and beyond towards the Firth of Forth with the Isle of May and Bass Rock acting as a backdrop.

The entrance porch opens up to the staircase which leads up to the accommodation on the first floor. The rooms all sit off a central landing from which a window provides an abundance of natural light and views to the east. The sitting / dining room also has stunning views to the east and south over the neighbouring fields and the Firth of Forth in the background featuring the Isle of May and Bass Rock. There is a fireplace with fitted electric fire and decorative mantel. The kitchen is fitted with a range of units and appliances (mostly replaced in 2021/2022) including a Hoover electric oven and hob, Electra dishwasher and Siemens washing machine. There are two double bedrooms, one with a fitted wardrobe and southerly views. There is also a family bathroom with a recently installed electric shower over the bath, and two useful stores off the landing.

Outside, there is a beautiful, fully-enclosed private front garden with a lawn flanked by stocked borders and flower beds. There are two useful outhouses in the form of a garden shed and an original coal store, and a parking area.
