Polruan is a 8th century fishing village, with historic quay and castle steeped in history, surrounded by stunning coastal landscapes.

Accessed via a passenger ferry Fowey, with its narrow winding streets and historic buildings, offers a mix of independent shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes.

There is also a car ferry from Bodinnick to Fowey

Part of the Southwest Coast Path leads to Readymoney Cove, passing St Catherines Castle, a perfect place to pause and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the Estuary and beyond.

Sailing and yachting facilities are available and the Fowey Royal Regatta and Carnival takes place in August each year.

Education - Both Fowey Primary and Fowey River Academy are both a short distance away. Further schools and colleges can be found in the surrounding towns of Lostwithiel, St Blazey and St Austell

Also on this floor, you will find a family bathroom and two bedrooms, one en suite. The spacious hallway includes a storage cupboard, and stairs turn up to a landing featuring a full-height ceiling with two Velux windows that flood the area with light.

The principal bedroom is a large, spacious room with a smart en suite and a beautiful, sheltered balcony offering outstanding views. There are two further bedrooms, one of which is also en suite. Directions

As you enter Polruan on the B3359 as you descend the hill into the village take the turning towards Polruan Hill Car Park which is a left on St Saviour's Hill. We advise parking in the car park and walking down the steps towards Polruan Village Hall. Keep walking down the steps, and Postcard Lodge will be on your left. We would advise that you do not follow the SatNav and recommend you follow the sign posts along the top road to Polruan from Lostwithiel.
