Frant Grange is located near the Church of St. Alban up a lane on the edge of the charming village of Frant in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Frant village is surrounded by countryside and has many attractive period properties and local amenities including a post office, village shop, village green, primary school, church and two popular public houses, the Abergaveny Arms and The George.

Royal Tunbridge Wells (approximately 2.9 miles) is a historic spa town located about thirty miles south of London, surrounded by countryside offering a popular base for commuters. The town offers excellent cultural, leisure and shopping attractions including two theatres locally at The Assembly Halls and Trinity Theatre, together with the newly rejuvenated civic centre, The Amelia Scott. The town enjoys an abundance of cafés, such as Juliet's, Italian Delicatessen Arte Bianca and Fine Grind on the Hight Street and restaurants including Thackerays, The Ivy and The Old Fishmarket, together with a good mixture of national multiple retailers and independent shops.

Mainline rail: Frant station at Bells Yew Green (about 1.6 miles), or Wadhurst (about 3.1 miles), both on the main Hastings line into London Charing Cross/Cannon Street and London Bridge. Tunbridge Wells (approximately 2.5 miles) and Tonbridge (about 7.1 miles) with services to London Cannon Street and Charing Cross (via London Bridge and Waterloo East) from 42 minutes (Tonbridge to Cannon Street).   

Communications: The A21 (accessible just North of Tunbridge Wells) links to the M25. The A264 (from Langton Green) West links to Gatwick Airport via the M23.

Description

Frant Grange was built with the neighbouring Church of St. Alban in 1818 by Lord Abergavenny for his third son, the rector of the parish at the time. Significant additions
are thought to have been made around 1860 to provide the classic proportions now consistent throughout the property, which is unlisted.

A sympathetic restoration included a new garage block with plant room and storage room above and a very impressive ground floor indoor swimming pool with a linking garden room. Our clients have obtained planning permission (Wealden council ref WD/2023/0049/F) to enlarge the basement level, ground floor and first floor.

Frant Grange is an elegant and spacious, yet practical
country house, nicely situated in the village at the top of Church Lane, at one end of the charming High Street, enjoying some far reaching views west over the valley

Continue towards Frant village, turning left into Church Road just before the Abergavenny Arms Public House. Frant Grange will be found after a short distance on the left hand side, approaching the High Street.
