Shillington is a traditional English village that dates back more than 1000 years, located at the northeast edge of the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Set high above the surrounding countryside that rolls away in all directions, the village and its 750 year old church can be seen for miles around and benefit from almost 30 miles of footpaths that intersect and surround it. The historic market town of Hitchin is just four miles away and, from there, it's just a 30 minute train journey to London Kings Cross. In addition, you are just 20 minutes from international travel via Luton Airport or the M1 motorway.

This peaceful, idyllic village has a true sense of community, and an active social scene. Two well regarded pubs serve good food and there is also a renowned farm shop. Between the two village shops and the post office almost every need is served.

1 The Old School forms the major part of a conversion of a Grade II listed 1865 built Victorian school house located opposite All Saints Church at the top of Church Lane, a quiet no-through road.
