Willow View is situated to the west of the village of Terling which is surrounded by the Terling agricultural estate. Terling has a good range of village amenities including a post office/village shop, pub, church, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, cricket ground, football pitch and doctor's surgery. The village also has a primary school and there are secondary schools at Chelmsford and Witham, a private school at New Hall, Chelmsford and a public school at Felsted. There is a wider selection of shops at Hatfield Peverel with shopping centres at Witham and Chelmsford. For the commuter there is a train station at Hatfield Peverel to London's Liverpool Street and access onto the A12.
