Set against the colourful backdrop of the working fishing harbour, the turquoise waters of St. Ives have attracted artists since the 19th century due to its renowned clarity of light. The town, with winding cobbled streets, is also a foodie destination packed with numerous restaurants, pubs and cafes all offering excellent fare including the award-winning Porthminster Beach Café.

Within St Ives there are two Co op convenience stores, one 150 metres up the road from the property and the other centrally located, a larger Tesco supermarket is at the top of Trelyon Avenue in Carbis Bay along with a large Asda Superstore in Hayle, however, if you are looking for bread look no further than the St Ives Bakery on Fore Street whose sour dough was voted as one of the top ten best in the country.

At nearby Lelant, overlooking the Hayle Estuary there is a spectacular links golf course with views stretching up towards Godrevy Lighthouse. A scenic branch railway line links Carbis Bay and St. Ives with the main London-Penzance line at nearby St. Erth.

St Ives has some outstanding schools across all ages. St Ives Infants (Ofsted Outstanding) St Ives Juniors (Ofsted Good) and St Ives Secondary School is the first Secondary school in Cornwall to receive the Ofsted Outstanding classification.

3 Bostennack Place is situated within a small terrace of seven cottages set back and above Higher Stennack, just half a mile from St Ives harbour, beach, shops and restaurants. The property has been in the same family ownership for many years, however, more recently has been used as a holiday home managed by Cornish Horizons. The property has an airy coastal feel along with many original features to include picture rails and sash windows.

Entrance and ground floor

Steps ascend from the pavement to the front door which opens in to a bright hallway. The kitchen is to the left, the bathroom and staircase ahead and the reception room to the right. The reception room has two sash windows overlooking the front which have sea glimpses and two to the rear garden. It is a bright room with picture rails and a recessed fireplace with space for an electric log burner. The galley style kitchen has windows to the front and a door giving access to the rear garden. The kitchen has cream shaker style cupboards, a ceramic sink, a built in oven and induction hob along with an under counter fridge and washing machine. The family bathroom has a quadrant shower, WC and vanity unit.

First Floor
At the top of the stairs is a small landing with a window overlooking the rear garden and the two bedrooms are to each side. On the right is the larger bedroom which like the reception room has two sash windows overlooking the front and two to the rear garden, picture rails along with a large storage cupboard which also contains the central heating boiler. The bedroom on the left also has two sash windows overlooking the front and two to the rear garden and picture rails. Both bedrooms have sea views.

The Exterior

Front and parking
A pavement runs in front of the property. Across the lane is a gravelled parking area with space for two cars with a lawned area sloping down to Higher Stennack.

Rear Garden
Steps descend from the kitchen on to a pathway that runs along the back of all the cottages which is gated on both sides. Across the path is a patio area and a lawn. The rear of the garden backs on to a steep vegetation covered rock face.

Directions

From the A30 follow directions to Carbis Bay & St Ives. Continue on the A3074 down Trelyon Avenue and follow signs for Trenwith Car Park. Pass the carpark on the left and continue to the roundabout. Turn right on to Higher Stennack (Co op on the right) and Bostennack Place is 150 metres down on the right. There is parking in front of No.3 for two cars.
