The completely renovated, listed Kostenz monastery ensemble in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen is an important historical monastery. Beautifully situated in the low mountain range landscape of the Bavarian Forest, the ensemble is located in a forest clearing with a total area of around twelve hectares. The existing buildings have been continuously renovated and are technically state-of-the-art, allowing a wide range of uses without major investment. The monastery includes extensive gardens and various farm buildings. Kostenz Monastery consists mainly of 5 buildings, which are divided as follows:

Until recently, Kostenz Monastery was run by the Brothers of Mercy as a conference and recreation center. Business customers in particular, such as automotive groups or public institutions that have already been customers in the past, can be re-integrated for hotel operations. It can also be used for residential purposes or for training courses. The 10 modern conference rooms offer the best conditions for this. The unique location and historic ensemble offer a unique selling point, and the property allows for future extensions, such as a chalet village.
The historic farm as an event location:
There is a concept for establishing a unique conference and event location in Eastern Bavaria for the four-sided farm, which is over 300 years old. The vaulted hall offers space for up to 300 people, while the covered outdoor seating area and inner courtyard can accommodate events for up to 600 people. Thanks to its secluded location, the venue can be used without restriction. The hotel's own chapel offers enough space for larger wedding parties. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, especially for weddings that can take place at weekends.
