The Victorian manor House along with the associated cottages and outbuildings were all completed around 1868 and occupied for a number of years as a significant family estate.

The estate was itself built on the site of Bletchingley Castle which, it is believed, was destroyed in the 1200s but remains a site of historic interest with parts of the old castle moat still being in evidence.
