The village is close to Bawdsey Quay with its ferry boat service through the summer to Felixstowe Ferry. The Bawdsey Haven Yacht Club is based on the quay, providing a range of activities for the sailing enthusiast.

The market town of Woodbridge (10 miles) is a thriving riverside town, with a great range of amenities, including an independent cinema and a railway station offering trains to London Liverpool Street via Ipswich from 92 minutes. There are also schools for students of all ages both in the state and independent sectors. There are further private schools found in Ipswich, Brandeston and Framlingham, and an excellent primary school in Bawdsey. The picturesque Suffolk countryside provides many attractive walks and rides and there are good opportunities to play sport in the surrounding district with golf courses at Woodbridge, Ufford, Bromeswell, as well as on the coast at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.

The stunning Suffolk coast comprises delightful seaside towns and pretty villages. Aldeburgh (19.2miles), the popular coastal town closely associated with Benjamin Britten, is famed for its fish and chips and Maggi Hambling 'Scallop' sculpture. The neighbouring village of Thorpeness has a charming boating lake and country club. Orford (13 miles) has an enchanting 12th century castle and is home to the award winning Pump Street Bakery.

Ferry view Granary is set on the Suffolk Coast at Bawdsey with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside of the Deben valley. The village sits on the banks of the river with a foot ferry service connecting to Felixstowe Ferry & the popular Ferry Boat Inn. The area is has wonderful walks along the coast and the river & The Ramsholt Arms public house that sits on the banks of the river Deben is nearby to the south.

The accommodation is well proportioned, has light-filled rooms throughout and been designed with reverse living to take advantage of the surrounding countryside & views.

The front door leads in to an entrance hall, which in turn comprises the bedroom accommodation consisting of a principal bedroom with en suite shower room, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Stairs lead up to the fabulous living space which has a double height vaulted ceiling with apex window filling the room with natural light.

The kitchen breakfast room is a great space for entertaining and has shaker-style kitchen with wooden worktops, Bosch electric oven, Hotpoint induction hob, integrated Siemens dishwasher, Beko washing machine, Baumatic tumble dryer and built-in fridge and freezer. A door provides access to a balcony with steps to the garden.

Finishing the top floor is a light filled sitting room, which comprises a Hunter Hawk multi-fuel stove.

Ferry view granary is approached via a private road that winds through The Manor House Estate and has parking and a garage to the front.

The garden is partly laid to lawn and has a patio, perfect for alfresco dining. There is also a wooden staircase which leads to the first floor kitchen/ breakfast room.

Ferry View Granary is surrounded by jointly owned land, which residents can use at their leisure. There are excellent facilities that can be used, including an open-air heated swimming pool, tennis court and delightful walks. all around the estate.
