Clyst St Mary is a popular and well located East Devon village surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside and only about 3 miles drive from Exeter's vibrant city centre. This thriving university city offers a wealth of cultural activities from the theatre and museum to the art centre and galleries. There are a variety of shopping options from the new Princesshay development and John Lewis department store as well an array of boutiques and independent stores.

There are excellent transport links nearby including the M5, A375 to Exmouth and A3052 to Sidmouth.

The nearby estuary town of Topsham has a busy and highly regarded high street including independent shops, and restaurants whilst also offering a train station with routes into the city. The village itself offers a shop and post office, a village pub and primary school.
