On a promontory to the east, the Peñón de Ifach is a large limestone rock with a thriving birdlife. Below are the ruins of Pobla de Ifach, a walled medieval town. La Muralla Roja is an iconic castle-like building by modern Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, also located in this town.
