Villa OneThe design of this unique villa began in 2019. The current owner chose Urban Symbiose as the architect. The design was inspired by the post-war concept of Case Study Houses. This style, inspired by the American countryside, is characterised by horizontal lines, geometric shapes and a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors.These characteristics are clearly reflected in the design of Villa One. She designs interiors throughout Europe and makes extensive use of natural materials such as wood and marble. Warm, natural colours predominate and blend perfectly with the garden and exterior. The villa is almost entirely energy neutral thanks to the use of a geothermal heat pump, air heat pump and solar panels. The entire house is equipped with a Creston home automation system, which allows everything imaginable to be controlled with ease.Living, cooking and entranceEntrance on the ground floor via the hall with staircase, lift, cloakroom, guest toilet and utility room. The organically designed staircase is a special feature due to its shape and light, an absolute eye-catcher. The living room is located on the south-east and has beautiful light due to its location and large windows. The centre of the space is formed by the tasteful kitchen with an island and bar. The custom-made kitchen is finished with marble and equipped with Gaggenau appliances. On the water side is the dining room with a beautiful view of the greenery and water of the Zuider Amstelkanaal.The living room is directly adjacent to the terrace and garden. The space offers intimacy and tranquillity thanks to the fireplace and beautiful built-in cherry wood cupboards. Unique are the large aluminium sliding doors (TUDOR) that allow the interior and exterior to merge seamlessly. On nice days, these can be opened, allowing the living area to extend onto the terrace.Sleeping and bathingThe villa has a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with the possibility of easily creating a fifth and sixth bedroom. There are three bedrooms on the first floor. The first bedroom, facing south, offers a magnificent view of the garden and access to a roof terrace. This room has a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. The second bedroom, located on the water side, functions as a small studio apartment with its own living area or workspace. This room is ideal for an older child or a live-in au pair.
