This fine period house originally dates from the 18th century and later became a cherished piece of the Brooke family legacy, gifted to Lady Brooke as a wedding present upon her union with Sir Harry Brooke.

The North Wing (the current house) was added between 1880 and 1890, enhancing the property's grandeur with a combination of Scottish Baronial and Aberdeen granite architectural styles. In the 1970s, the original 18th-century wing was replaced by a modern annexe and garage, but the historical essence of Fairley House remains with architectural treasures, including the restored original Scots pitch pine staircase and original doors, leaded windows and beautifully crafted oak fire surround. The spacious drawing room, dining hall and bedrooms feature high ceilings with cornicing, traditional sash and case windows, pitch pine doors, and original fireplaces, all creating an atmosphere of grandeur and warmth.
