Buchlyvie is a charming Stirlingshire village about 15 miles west of Stirling, and about 10 miles from Loch Lomond. Today it is a popular village with its own primary school (feeding into the highly regarded Balfron High School), village shop, pub and gallery. From Glasgow take the A81 through Blanefeld, past Killearn towards Aberfoyle. Do not take the A811 junction towards Stirling but continue on the A81 towards Aberfoyle Turn right on the B835 towards Buchlyvie for exactly one mile. High Garchell is third entrance on the left (signposted)
