Honeymead is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the delightful village of Hartfield, which is approximately 0.8 of a mile.

The heart of the Ashdown Forest is about 2.5 miles from the property, being one of the largest free public access spaces in the South East of England, made famous by A A Milne’s Winnie the Pooh stories. The Forest is an ancient area of open heathland occupying the highest sandy ridge within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and was originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times.

Hartfield has a good range of local amenities including a general store, public houses, church, gift shop, tennis club and medical centre and the larger village of Forest Row is reached in about 3.6 miles offering a wide range of small independent shops, cafes, galleries and services.

The nearest main towns are Tunbridge Wells (about 16 miles), East Grinstead (about 7.2 miles) and Sevenoaks which lies to the north (about 19 miles). Gatwick airport is approximately 16.5 miles and the M25 is approximately 17 miles.

Mainline rail: Commuter services to London Bridge, Cannon Street, Charing Cross and London Victoria are available from the main towns as well as Dormansland (about 8.5 miles) and Cowden (about 5 miles).

Private and state schools: There is an excellent choice of schools, including a primary school in Hartfield and state secondary schooling in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, East Grinstead, Uckfield and Crowborough. There are preparatory private schools in Forest Row, Langton Green and Danehill, with public schools at Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Worth, Mayfield, Eastbourne, Brighton and Upper Dicker.

Directions

From Tunbridge Wells head out of town on the A264, passing through Langton Green and Groombridge, then Withyham and Hartfield. On exiting Hartfield, continue on the East Grinstead road, up Gallipot Hill, passing the entrance lodge to Landhurst on the left.   The entrance to Honeymead will then be found on the left before the Gallipot Inn and serves two houses.
