Ancient masseria in the countryside of Noto, consisting of 4 buildings now all recovered and restored. The total recovery of the walls and all the simple decorative elements has allowed a philological restoration of excellent results, the exceptional view of the Sicilian sea and the natural reserve of "Vendicari" determines a series of unique emotions that no visitor can resist. The ancient basins for the collection of water have been converted into three swimming pools serving the buildings. The main building has origins at the beginning of the 19th century as the dates show on the ancient lithic architraves, the building initially consisted of two bodies which subsequently expanded with other merged buildings. This was typical in the countryside, following the course of the family's life, which expanded with the marriages of the children and then the arrival of the grandchildren. In fact they were real communities that grew according to real family needs. On the hill of "Pantanello" several years ago, this property was completely abandoned for decades, the roofs in reeds collapsed, some walls damaged. The whole was harmonious and retained a pride of its own, a pride of the stone in that ancient place of great severe but strongly energetic impact. Kilometers of dry stone walls wind through all the slopes of the hill, describing and containing portions of land sometimes used for simple cultivation. The adjacent canyon, offers other unique emotions and atmospheres during the full moon, a natural space full of ancient caves inhabited only by the animals of the hill that take refuge inside. Known with the domes of the churches and its palaces, it creates a further unique scenography in this space which is an immense open air theater where you can breathe a strongly Sicilian atmosphere with the scents of prickly pears, carob trees and olive trees naturally distributed to sides of the immense Mediterranean scrub.
