Our exclusive offering: a beautiful 208 sqm apartment for rent at Palazzo Berri Meregalli, one of the most precious jewels of European eclectic architecture of the early twentieth century.
Adorned with statues, mosaics and frescoes published all around the world, the atrium of Palazzo Berri Meregalli also houses the "Vittoria Alata", an iconic sculpture by turn-of-the-century Milanese artist Antonio Wildt (see below for more information about Palazzo Berri Meregalli and the "Vittoria Alata").
The apartment offers the charm of living in one of the most admired monuments of the city from an intimate and private retreat.
Located on the 3rd floor of the palace, the apartment enjoys an exceptional quiet, elevator access, video intercom, and concierge service.
From the entrance you access a large first living/dining room overlooking the beautiful courtyard of the building; from this, you can access:
• a second living room with a terrace (partially covered by a loggia) of about 10 square meters overlooking Via Cappuccini and the greenery in front, a few steps from the garden of Palazzo Invernizzi with its famous pink flamingos;
• through a small corridor, to a studio with
bathroom, studio that also has its own independent access;
• through another corridor, to the furnished and equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a storage room, a single bedroom with balcony and the "master suite" consisting of a vestibule, the master bedroom with an adjoining wardrobe room window and the bathroom.
The apartment is rented in current conditions but may be subject to a renovation - to be agreed with the property - the costs of which will be deducted from the first annuities of the rent (see proposed renovation plan).
The heating is centrally provided while the air conditioning is autonomous.
The request is EUR 8.250/month (EUR 100.000/year).
Bank guarantee required.
The last maintenance expenses amount to EUR 7000/year.
A garage in the nearby underground surveilled car park of Viale Majno is also available for rent at EUR 500/month.

Palazzo Berri Meregalli is one of the greatest examples of eclectic architecture in Italy and Europe, skilfully combining different architectural styles ranging from Romanesque to Art Nouveau through Gothic.
Built between 1911 and 1913 by the architect Giulio Ulisse Arata for the entrepreneurs Nebo Berri and Innocente Meregalli, it is considered his masterpiece.

Occupying a corner lot right in the centre of Milan, only one block from elegant Corso Venezia and the Palestro station of the underground, the building's corner facade conveys a unique and powerful aura of monumentality.
Palazzo Berri-Meregalli's eclectic design skilfully combines different architectural styles: the Romanesque style evocative of the Byzantine architecture of Ravenna, is evident in the refined stonework, the exposed bricks, the arches, the loggias, and the mosaics; the Gothic style, transpires from the rough ashlar, the vertical development and the individually hand-sculpted "gargoyles" that overlook the street from above; and finally, the Art Nouveau style, which is expressed by the cherubs, the precious ceiling frescoes, the mosaics, and the wrought ironworks, created for the Palazzo by a master of its time: Angelo Mazzucotelli.
This "mix" of both forms (including sculptural decorations by Calegari and Prendoni) and historical periods give the building a magnificent and mysterious atmosphere.
Access to the Palazzo is through an original wrought iron gate, also by Mazzucotelli, which leads to an enchanting atrium, a symphony of rustic bricks and sumptuous mosaics, frescoes that decorate the ceilings, and fine stained glass by Angiolo D'Andrea and Adamo Rimoldi. The precious flooring, all in original mosaic tiles arranged in geometric patterns, along with the wrought irons beaten by Mazzucotelli, lead the visitor to the "Winged Victory," of the most iconic sculptures by Adolfo Wildt: a marble with gilding sculpture designed and sculpted between 1918 and 1919 to celebrate the end of the First World War.
The art critic Elena Pontiggia wrote of this work, "immediately after the end of the war, Wildt represents the thousand-year theme of "Nike": instead of identifying it with a winged creature, according to classical iconography, he identifies it only with a face and wings without a body, to symbolize the spiritual dimension in its ideal thrust and cry".
Integral part of the sculpture is also the cylindrical rod, surrounded by a crown of flames and raised on a cubic pediment.
The palazzo is still in use as a private residence and houses several luxury apartments and the external facades of the building have been recently restored, under the supervision of the Superintendence.
