Location

Temple is a small hamlet about two miles from the riverside town of Marlow, which offers a superb range of retailers with an eclectic mix of local independent and national names. There are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants dotted around the town offering destinations for any occasion. The town itself is situated on the banks of the river Thames and the Thames Path follows the river through the town.

Just outside the town, the area opens out to glorious rolling countryside and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Outdoor pursuits are numerous, as are golf, football, cricket and rugby clubs.

Being a popular location for young families, Marlow offers numerous schooling ranging from prep schools to secondary schools, such as Sir William Borlase's Grammar School and Great Marlow School.

For commuters, the town has a train station to Paddington (via Maidenhead, with the new Elizabeth Line operating), with fast trains also accessible from High Wycombe providing a 25-minute journey into London Marylebone. The M40/M4 motorways are accessed from the A404 which passes the town.

Outside
The cottage enjoys a highly coveted position in Temple, backing directly onto a calm body of water (off the main Thames flow) with its own private mooring of about 26ft. The rear garden is attractively landscaped to include a paved patio, decking area and a summerhouse, with mature trees along the rear boundary providing privacy. A further decking area on the back enjoys lovely views of the river frontage and provides a delightful space for entertaining. Separately there is a single garage with loft storage and further parking for two cars to the front.

Directions

Temple can be found just off the A404(M) M4 Junction 8/9 signposted to Henley/High Wycombe/Marlow. Proceed along the A404 (dual carriageway) past the Henley turn-off and you'll see a slip-road signposted for Temple. Take the slip-road and drive right to the end and then turn left. No 2 Stable Cottage can be found at the end on the right-hand side.
