Situated some six miles west of Oxford, Church Hanborough is a sought after village noted for its church spire which can be seen from afar. Everyday amenities are found in neighbouring villages of Long Hanborough and Eynsham with more extensive facilities in Oxford and Witney. The private Country Club, Estelle Manor, is about 3 miles away.

The railway stations of Hanborough (2 miles) and Oxford Parkway (7 miles) are both nearby providing regular services to London, Paddington and London, Marylebone respectively. And the village is well located for a good selection of both state and independent schools including Bartholomew’s in Eynsham, Cokethorpe, St Hughs and the many notable schools of Oxford.

Directions

Take the A40 from Oxford towards Cheltenham and Witney. At the Eynsham roundabout take the right turn towards Long Hanborough. After two miles, turn left towards Church Hanborough. On entering the village pass the Hand & Shears pub on the right. Pear Tree Cottage is on the right after a short distance. The driveway is immediately after the cottage but is not marked.
