There are convenience shops in the neighbouring villages of Speen and Naphill.

Surrounded by Chiltern countryside the property is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offering beautiful walks and rides along extensive footpaths and bridle ways. The nearest town centre of High Wycombe, about 4.5 miles away offers an extensive range of shops, alongside a small theatre and two multi-screen cinemas.

The county is one of the last counties to maintain the traditional grammar system with schools in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Speen has both a well-regarded pre-school, Little Apples, and Speen C of E Infant School.
