Location

Trumpington is a sought-after residential area just under two miles south of the historic Cambridge city centre and is well-served in terms of everyday shopping facilities which include a large Waitrose supermarket, a parade of shops, John Lewis collection depot and a petrol station/store. There are two popular pubs (The Green Man and The Sole and Duck) which both serve food along with a restaurant within the village. There is a popular busy daily market in Cambridge Market Square and further facilities can be found at The Grafton Centre and Grand Arcade shopping malls in central Cambridge. There is also a Sainsburys supermarket in the new development in Trumpington and access to Grantchester Meadows along the cycle path.

Trumpington has good access to the city centre, Addenbrookes hospital and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus via bus routes including the Trumpington Park & Ride as well as cycle lanes.   

Independent schools for all age groups are available in Cambridge city including St Marys, The Perse, St Faith's and The Leys along or just off Trumpington Road/Street which can be reached via a designated cycle route into Cambridge. There are two primary schools in Trumpington which feed into the recently opened Trumpington Community College.      

Trumpington offers good access to the M11 (Junction 11), which in turn gives access to the south towards London and Stansted airport and to the north towards the A14 and beyond. Cambridge train station is about 2 miles away and provides regular services into London Kings Cross and Liverpool Street, with journeys taking from 50 minutes approximately.

There are many open public spaces in the vicinity including those at Byron's Pool and Grantchester Meadows, Coe Fen and Lammas Land, along with the new country park at Great Kneighton which is situated on the outskirts and to the east of Trumpington.
