Salcombe is one of the most sought after addresses on Devon's south coast and for good reason; renowned as a sailing and boating centre, the town is situated on the stunning Kingsbridge and Salcombe Estuary, flanked by the glorious rolling countryside of the South Hams. With miles of sheltered waters and golden sandy beaches on either side towards its mouth, Salcombe is arguably one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the South West.

This thriving town has an excellent range of shops, pubs and restaurants and offers two sandy beaches of its own, North Sands and South Sands. A short boat trip across the water to East Portlemouth provides access to Mill Bay, another beautiful sandy beach owned by the National Trust. Salcombe has a bustling town centre offering an eclectic and gorgeous mix of shops, restaurants and pubs. Communications are excellent with access to the M5 motorway at Exeter, via the A38 Devon Expressway being about 15 miles.

Description

Bosuns is a superb penthouse apartment situated in an elevated position on the outskirts of Salcombe. Inside, the bright and airy accommodation extends to over 1380 sq ft and comprises a fully equipped kitchen which opens up onto the generous dining room with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. French doors lead out onto the balcony which enjoys uninterrupted views over the Salcombe estuary and out to sea. The generous sitting room also benefits from south facing views over the water and the rolling South Hams' countryside.

Beyond the main living accommodation is a useful study area which is accessed from the dining room.

In total, there are currently three double bedrooms (one en suite) and a further shower room and bathroom. Depending on the layout, the sitting room could easily become an additional bedroom which would offer four double bedrooms if desired. There is easy access to the loft providing valuable storage if required and this is accessed within Bosuns.

Directions

On entering Salcombe from Kingsbridge, continue along the main road, skirting around the side of the hill at the top of the town. At the next junction fork left into Devon Road and almost immediately on the right hand side Shaws Corner will be found.
