Yue-Sai Kan wants $28 Million for Manhattan Townhouse

Yue-Sai Kan, a Chinese television celebrity and entrepreneur, is listing her Manhattan townhouse for $28 million.
Ms. Kan bought the 8,500-square-foot home in 1989 and has renovated it multiple times, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Located in the Sutton Square enclave, the townhouse is one of 14 that share a private garden overlooking the East River.
Kan’s adjustments to the seven-bedroom residence embrace tearing down its high flooring and changing it with a roof deck, and swapping out the entrance door for one made in Indonesia that options carvings meant to guard the house.
The master bedroom, which takes up a complete flooring, has its personal spa and therapeutic massage room.
Different ornamental thrives embrace stone figures of Buddha within the foyer and a mural of a dragon and a phoenix painted in gold on a library ceiling. Carrie Chiang of Corcoran has the listing.
Ms. Kan is the founder of Yue-Sai Cosmetics, now part of L’Oréal, and the owner of the Miss Universe China franchise.
