Topsham has been a port since the 13th Century and the tidal estuary of the Exe is not only famous for sailing and boating but also as a natural haven for birds and wildlife with a number of RSPB nature reserves and bird hides nearby.

Directions

From Exeter proceed along the Topsham Road and on reaching the Countess Wear roundabout continue straight over towards Topsham. At the mini round about in the centre of town, continue straight over and at the next roundabout, take the third exit onto The Strand where 10 The Strand will be found on the left hand side on Hannafords Quay.
