Location

Situated in the pretty and sought-after Chilterns village of Frieth, within the Conservation Area and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) just northeast of the prestigious Hambleden Valley, the village offers a primary school and two pubs: the Prince Albert and the Yew Tree Gastro Pub.

The village Church of England primary school has recently been rated as one of the county's "top three" performing schools. The area is also well served for schooling, with Buckinghamshire state and grammar schools being especially sought-after.

Further amenities can be found in Lane End, with shops for everyday needs, including a butcher, post office/newsagent, and the excellent Lacey's Family Farm Shop. Marlow and Henley-on-Thames provide excellent shopping and recreational facilities and train services to London Paddington (via Maidenhead and Twyford, respectively).

High Wycombe and Princes Risborough stations also offer access to London via the Chiltern Line to Marylebone. Oxford, Reading, and West/Central London can be reached via the M40, linking to the national motorway network.

Description

Directions

From Henley take the A4155 towards Marlow. After 3 miles turn left to Hambleden and Skirmett. Fork right through Hambleden village and continue to Frieth. Rose Cottage can be found on the right just after the church.

From Marlow take the Oxford Road, after 4 miles turn left at the Frieth crossroads. Rose Cottage can be found on the left 100m after the Yew Tree pub.
