Location

Tulbagh has been farmed since 1725 with some of the finest examples of Cape Dutch buildings, both on farms and 32 in the village itself. The Roodezandt Pass leading up from the coastal plain was the old wagon route taken by those seeking gold and riches in the Witwaterstrand (Gauteng) during the Gold Rush days. The trail can still be seen from one of the farms. Travel time to the International airport of Cape Town is one and a half hours.
