Location

The popular village of Hawkhurst (0.8 of a mile) has Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets, a Kino digital cinema, tennis, squash and golf clubs, fishing facilities together with a variety of pubs and restaurants. More extensive facilities can be found in Cranbrook (4.2 miles), Rye (13.5 miles) and Tunbridge Wells (18.4 miles).

There is an excellent selection of educational opportunities in the area at both primary and secondary levels, in both the private and state sectors.

There is a good variety of leisure facilities including golf clubs at Hawkhurst, Rye and Dale Hill. Sailing and fishing at Bewl Water and riding, walking, mountain bike trails and a climbing and activity centre and music venue in Bedgebury Pinetum.

Rail links to London run from Etchingham (5.8 miles) and Staplehurst (10.2 miles) connecting to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Cannon Street and Charing Cross.

The A21 gives links to the M25, the coast, major motorway networks, Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the channel tunnel terminus.

Description

Gun Green Cottage is a charming semi detached cottage understood to date in part from 1859 with later additions and benefiting from off road parking, a small garage, garden and an enclosed field, in all amounting to about 1.3 acres. The cottage lies 0.8 of a mile to the south of the popular village of Hawkhurst with its excellent local amenities.
