Troed Y Bryn is located about 1.5 miles south of the village of Alltwalis.

For those that enjoy the outdoors, the edge of the famous Brechfa Forest is only about two miles way that provides about 16,000 acres of idyllic scenery and stunning trails for walking, hiking and mountain biking. The stunning Cardigan Bay coastline is about 23 miles away at Aberporth while the equally breath-taking Carmarthen Bay at Llansteffan is about 15 miles away.

The nearby A487 provides good access to other neighbouring villages and towns with the large shopping town of Carmarthen only about seven miles to the south providing everyday retail needs, schools, hospital etc and a train station with connections to London. The A48 M4 link road connects Carmarthen to Pembrokeshire and further east along south Wales with the cities of Swansea and Cardiff being about 37 miles and 77 miles respectively.
