Travelling from the North
From Glasgow, travel south on the M74 to Junction 14 (signposted Drumlanrig Castle). Follow the A702 signposted for Thornhill. After about 16 miles turn left onto the A76 towards Dumfries. After two-thirds of a mile, turn right and follow signs for Penpont and Moniaive. At Penpont turn right at the crossroads. After about 1.9 miles turn left, following signs for Scaur Water. After about 1.7 miles, turn right at the T junction and continue for about half a mile, crossing a small bridge. Turn left into a private driveway, following signs for Druidhill Mill and Waterfall Mill. For satellite navigation, the postcode is DG3 4AR.

Travelling from the South
M6, head north to M74. Turn left onto A75 to Dumfries. Stay on A75 through 3 roundabouts then at next roundabout turn right onto A76 to Kilmarnock. Approx 14 miles to Thornhill. Go through Thornhill to end of Main Street then turn left, signposted to Penpont and Moniaive. Then proceed as above.
