Location

Minety is a large village with facilities including a primary school, pre-school, two public houses and a community-run shop. Day-to-day shopping can be found in Cricklade and Malmesbury. Cirencester and Swindon, the two major towns in the area, are both within easy driving distance and provide comprehensive but differing shopping, commercial and recreational amenities. Locally there is access to excellent countryside, with the Cotswold Water Park providing water sports, walking, cycling, riding and golf opportunities. There is a leisure centre in Cricklade and many equestrian establishments locally for livery and tuition.

Communications are first class with a direct service from Kemble or Swindon (five miles and 14 miles respectively) to London Paddington. Both the M4 and M5 are easily accessible via the A417/419 dual carriageways.

The local area has a wide selection of highly regarded schools in both the public and private sectors. Private schools include Rendcomb College, Cricklade Manor, Westonbirt and Stonar, as well as the schools and colleges in Cheltenham. There are secondary schools in Purton, Cirencester and Swindon.

Directions

From Cirencester, join the A419 and take the Spine Road exit signposted Ashton Keynes and South Cerney. Proceed West along Spine Road East into the Cotswold Water Park. After 2.5 miles, at the crossroads, turn left onto the B4696. After bypassing Ashton Keynes and then continuing for approximately one mile, cross the river Thames and immediately turn right to Minety. After one mile, take a left at the junction, pass underneath the railway bridge and Hillside is situated on your left, just by the 30mph sign.
