Castle Bolton, a pretty hamlet in Wensleydale, nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Castle, dating from the 14th-century and a scheduled ancient monument is in a prominent position on the western edge of the village and where Mary Queen of Scotts was imprisoned for a time.

Crayke House is a charming Grade II listed two bedroom cottage. The original building dates back to the 17th century with a later 19th century addition.
