San Juan del Río is the second largest city in the State of Querétaro and is located just 40 minutes from the capital. It is a city with an industrial vocation due to its strategic location between Mexico City and Querétaro at the foot of the main highway that connects the center with the north of the country. Although it is very little known, San Juan del Río has a very important historical richness since its foundation dates from the year 1531 with colonization. In 1986 it was declared a protected zone of historical monuments which covers 1.2 km within the city. It is within this perimeter that Espacio San Juan is located, a mansion from the 50's that today, due to its magnificent location, context and configuration, becomes a property with tremendous potential in terms of possibilities of uses. Av. Juárez is the street where one finds everything, services, hotels, shops, parking lots, etc. Espacio San Juan can perfectly be incorporated into this palette of activities in the area or complement it with a new proposal such as a university, horizontal or vertical housing complex, mixed complexes, department store, self-service store, etc. The current construction is located in the front part of the land and consists of extremely simple orthogonal structures that could be easily adapted to different uses or retired them. On the other hand, in the back there is an empty space with shadows generated by the large and long-lived trees and there was even a pool that could be reused.
