The hamlet is about two miles from the village of Wool, with village pub, local shops, doctors surgery and schools, together with a main line railway station to London Waterloo.

It is also less than 4 miles from Lulworth Cove, which along with Durdle Door are famous as some of the most amazing geological formations along the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

The beautiful countryside of the Isle of Purbeck and the South West Coastal Path provide superb walking and cycling opportunities, and Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world, is renowned for its sailing and water sports, marinas and yacht clubs.

Directions

From Bere Regis or Wareham, proceed to the village of Wool. Drive over the level crossing and turn immediately left onto the B3071, and continue through the village in the direction of Lulworth. After leaving the village, drive for about 1.5 miles and the turning to Coombe Keynes is on the left. Drive into the village and at the small village green, turn right signposted to the Holy Rood Church. Cuckoo Nod Cottage faces the green on the left.
