New Mexico Ranch headed to auction with $15 million

Originally listed for $55 million, a 190-acre luxury ranch just outside of Taos, New Mexico, is headed to auction with a $15 million reserve next month.
Taos Valley Ranch was developed at a cost of $45 million and was recently appraised for $21.1 million, said Misha Haghani, principal of Paramount Realty USA, the auction house that is handling the Jan. 25 sale.
The ranch consists of 15 structures, including a 27,397-square-foot main house, a 9,780-square-foot guest house and a greenhouse, according to the listing. There are also several barns and other outbuildings for horses and donkeys, plus maintenance and equipment.
In all, there are 68,939 square feet of interior space, including 30 bedrooms and four kitchens, according to the listing. Most of the original furnishings and fixtures are included in the sale.
The adobe-style main house has 27 en-suite bedrooms, five additional bathrooms, five meeting or lounge rooms, a commercial kitchen, an employee lounge, two business offices, a yoga/meditation room and a dining room that can accommodate 150 people, according to the listing.
The guesthouse features three en-suite bedrooms, four family rooms, an entertainment room, three meeting rooms, two offices, a modern kitchen and a dining area.
