Tom Bilyeu Buys $35 Million Hollywood Hills House

A massive Los Angeles home that some local real-estate veterans describe as one of the largest in the Hollywood Hills has sold for $35.5 million.
The over 20,000-square-foot property was listed for $43.9 million in August, according to Zillow.
The $35.5 million mansion buyers, who took title via an LLC, are Tom and Lisa Bilyeu, the married co-founders of City of Industry, Calif.-based Quest Nutrition.
The five-bedroom house sits on a promontory with sprawling views of the Los Angeles basin.
Amenities include a large garage, a spa with wet and dry saunas and plunge pools, a wine cellar, a theater, a large roof deck and a 15-foot outdoor television that rises out of the ground and is visible from inside the house.
The property also has a 175-foot pool that culminates in a waterfall that cascades into an atrium garden.
The seller is real-estate developer Jeff Thomas. He assembled the site over several years starting in 2012, when he bought a 4,000-square-foot house for $4.25 million.
A few years later, he approached the owners of the house next door, buying them out for $2.7 million.
The new house was completed earlier this year.
Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group together with James Harris and David Parnes of The Agency jointly held the Hollywood Hills listing.
